When it comes to autism kids may exhibit a wide selection and spectrum of symptoms. One autistic child may have very serious symptoms and need full time care for life while another child with similar prognosis may be independent and high functioning, with only a few minor signs and symptoms of this condition. There are several common signs and symptoms that may indicate autism though, and three common areas where symptoms appear. When the 3 main developmental areas are impacted then autism is normally diagnosed.

For a determination of autism to be reached the kid must be impaired in social interaction, the verbal and nonverbal communication must be significantly afflicted, and there are patterns and repeated manners that affect the passions and activities of the child. When all of these areas have symptoms then the physician or specialist may diagnose autism with confidence. Each child is individual and unique, and will have specific symptoms and behavior patterns that must be evaluated.

With autism children can fall everywhere on the very extensive spectrum that makes up this medical problem. Often children with critical kinds of the condition may not interact with others at all, and it is common for these children to lack empathy or display emotion. Several children with this issue do best in a structured environment with a rigid daily schedule and set activities that are anticipated.

Lots of autistic kids experience stress and anxiety if an unpredicted occasion happens or the daily routine is not followed properly for any excuse. This may result in an outburst from the child mainly because of the negative emotions experienced. Some autistic kids don't respond to touch at all and don't seem to feel a need to touch others, even guardians and other family members. Impaired connection is evident in every case of autism, but the level of incapacity in this field can vary from one scenario to the next.

In so many cases these children will develop to be dependent adults who should be provided for, but this is not always correct. Several autistic kids can manage many tasks and have a small degree of social abilities available.
